Psychiatry
Therapy isn’t the only type of care that can address a wide range of mild to moderate mental health issues.
Psychiatry
Psychiatry, or medication management, offers the same level of care as weekly talk therapy. Psychiatry is not “more” or “less” than individual therapy—it’s just a different type of care. Whether you want or need therapy or medication (or both) depends on your personal preferences and what you’re seeking to treat.
Medication Management
Managing medication is an essential aspect of maintaining optimum mental health.
Medication Management
Medications are an essential part of treating and managing several mental health disorders. However, your requirements can change over time, and regular medication reviews ensure you take only what you need.
EMDR Therapy
Uses rapid eye movements to address emotional distress from past experiences.
EMDR Therapy
EMDR is effective for traumas, mental focus issues, depression, panic attacks, and anxiety. Currently, there's a waiting list for sessions with our certified provider.

Therapy or medication? Exploring your mental health options

Therapy or Medication?

Mental health professionals use general rules to determine whether medication or therapy is best.
Therapy or Medication?
Certain conditions, such as bipolar disorder and psychotic disorders, typically require medication for successful treatment. On the other hand, most personality disorders cannot be treated with medication, although some of their symptoms can be alleviated. Depressive or anxiety disorders can generally be treated with or without medication and often show the best response to a combination of medication and therapy.
